SpectreView News Broadcasting
Thanks to IPV technology, news video feeds can be made available on journalists' desktops within seconds of reception, making rapid turnaround and re-purposing of news programming easy.
IPV has a long heritage in providing low bit-rate browse technology for use in
newsrooms. Our products enable efficient workflows where large numbers of
journalists and editorial staff can concurrently access both archive and live
video sources on their PC or Mac computers in the form of low bit-rate proxy media.
Our real-time encoding technology ensures the capture of high quality video and
multitrack audio in a low bit-rate frame-accurate format, whilst video is also
being analysed for scene changes. Exact correlation with high resolution media at
all times is obtained ensuring optimum visual quality even at low bit-rates and
allowing subsequent scene-by-scene rapid searching, by desktop users. For maximum
efficiency, video can be used on the desktop whilst still being encoded.
Our server technology enables concurrent use by hundreds of users with optimum
use of IP network bandwidth and no reduction in performance. Its rich set of media
tools and VTR-type viewing allow rapid and intuitive access to video assets at all
times.
In news broadcast systems where file based ingest is also required, our transcoding
technology enables seamless handling and interchange of both file based and video
assets.
