IPV Expands European Sales Channels for its Browse Solutions

Cambridge, UK, April 15, 2009

IPV, a global leader and largest independent supplier of low bit-rate, frame-accurate video technology to the broadcast and professional video sectors, today announced that it has expanded its European sales channels with the appointment of four new distributors in the region including Audio Video Consult (AVC) in Bulgaria, Broadcast Solutions in Italy, Gerrit de Jonge Multi Media in The Netherlands and Logic Media in Germany. All four companies will be responsible for the distribution and after sales service and support for IPV’s browse solutions across their respective markets.

"IPV is one of the leaders in the implementation of browse technology and the company’s products are considered the de facto browse solutions available to broadcasters today," said Anne Marie De Jonge, director of sales, Gerrit de Jonge Multi Media. "With it Curator system IPV brings a new and refreshing browse offering to the market that enables users, on a department level, to access and share low resolution content simultaneously. This sharing of resources will provide increased productivity and cost efficiencies for our customers in the Netherlands."

As part of the distribution agreements, each company will promote key IPV products including the company’s Curator system, a comprehensive, browse-based tapeless workflow media system which allows communities of media professionals add value to their content; and IPV’s SpectreView, the de facto standard for browse resolution systems. SpectreView is already implemented by a large number of vendors of playout automation, newsrooms, asset management and access services around the world.

"It has been part of our strategy since the launch of Curator to expand our market reach globally and the appointment of Gerrit de Jonge Multi Media, Logic Media, Broadcast Solutions and AVC – all well-established distributors in Europe – is a testament to the success of this renewed sales approach," said Nigel Booth, EVP Sales and Marketing at IPV. "We are delighted to be working with our expanded team as each of these new partner companies has a wealth of expertise from a local market knowledge perspective as well as technical capabilities that combine broadcast and IT skills."

Booth continues, "IPV continues to seek opportunities to partner with leading distributors worldwide as it grows its global business."
